A mandate after the 1979 accident at the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant, SPDS is typically a display subsystem of the Emergency Response Facility Data System (ERFDS). some of the existing solutions at various nuclear power plants are very dated and reach the end of life. Leveraging the modern eDNA technology and based on the existing solution, the eDNA solution has 2 components:
eDNA calculation service: Collects data from the nuclear power plant’s Emergency Response Facility Data System (ERFDS) and performs comparisons and calculations on that data.
eDNA view - Customisable graphical displays and interactive dashboard helping users to identify and act on the intelligence
Every nuclear power plant is mandated to have a plant process computer to provide critical plant information to display screens in the central control room that aids personnel in ensuring the plant operates in a safe, reliable and efficient way. eDNA technology leverages the legacy nuclear systems in the plant with the ability to connect, collect, store and present the mission-critical information to the control room personnel in an intuitive way.
Transient Recording Solution
A high-speed transient monitoring system provides data recording and analysis without smoothing or in decreasing point value validity and is fully integrated with other eDNA real-time data analysis and monitoring tools. eDNA HighSpeed currently interfaces to the highly reliable Validyne I/O system. Interfaces to RTP 2000 and other I/O gear capable of fast time resolution switching are also available.
A legacy replacement for Eberline with modern supportable, dependable and reliable technology, eDNA provides a cost-effective solution targeted at centralized monitoring and control of radiation field units.RadServ systems are built to provide communication to other plant equipment and processes that need to know the status of measure values and alarm conditions. eDNA RadServ increases operational awareness by relating RMS system operation and response to other critical operations:
RadServ Reports: Report generation in a RadServ system is provided directly into Microsoft Excel. Reports are automatically generated to record source check results, parameter edits, channel checks, and routine system performance audits
RadServ Displays: Data monitored by or sent from the services modules is made available to operators and technicians through standard eDNA real-time HMI modules from eDNA View module
RadServ Graphs and Trends: Leveraging eDNA Trend, multiple formats are made available for users to plot the same value against different time frames, to plot different values in different time frames on different scales, and other formats that ensure data is displayed in the most useful manner available
Plant Simulator Archive Solution provides users the ability to effectively and efficiently manage and analyze the vast amount of data produced by a power plant simulator at high resolution and fidelity. Key parameters collected during simulation can be quickly reviewed graphically via the archive trending application or reported using common applications such as Microsoft Excel.
